Flex Guard 250 – Chemical Resistance Data

Product Description:

  • Flex-Guard 250 System is a unique, 100% solids, monolithic, solvent free, epoxy system designed to be applied over concrete walls and floors.
  • Flex-Guard 250 System consists of a seal coat, polyester fabric and a topcoat of Flex-Guard 250 System, which when applied to walls or floors, will form a resilient, monolithic surface.
  • Due to the resiliency and polyester fabric, Flex-Guard 250 System has the ability to resist cracking due to changes in the weather.

Application:

  • Inside or Outside Containment Areas
  • Application Instruction
    1. Remove all existing coating.
    2. Mechanically clean (sandblast) walls and floors to remove all oils and contaminants.
    3. Repair all cracks and voids to floors and walls with acid proof cement.
    4. Apply seal coat of Flex-Guard 250 sealer.
    5. Embed the polyester mat into the sealer and wet out with another coat of Flex-Guard 250 Sealer.
    6. After Flex-Guard 250 has set, apply a final coat of Flex-Guard 250 sealer to give a finished total thickness of approximately 1/8″.
    7. Caulk around all tank bottoms and pad as well as any piping that is imbedded into the concrete.

Colors:
Black, White, Ivory, Gray, Dark Gray, Brick Red, Beige, Green and Brown. Special colors are available upon request, for an additional charge.

Precautions:
As with all epoxies, good hygienic habits must be observed and the wearing of protective clothing and gloves is advised. Before using this product, please read the material safety data sheet.
